The Cornwall Caledonian Pipe Band was formed in 2002 and is the very first full Pipe Band from Cornwall to have been registered and accepted by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.
The Band has two uniforms, No 1 being the full military style “Highland Dress” with the well known “Feather Bonnet” head dress. The No 2 Dress is slightly less formal but equally as smart with the “Argyll” Black Jacket and Glengarry head dress.
The Tartan worn with both uniforms is that of the “Black Stewart” which is a very striking weave for all occasions.
The Band are extremely busy with Civic, Memorial, Carnival, Stage and special events within the county and are the special representatives of many Veterans, Military and Naval associations.
Pipers and Drummers either as solo artists or as a full band are available for special events such as weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries or sadly Funerals with absolutely no travel limitations.
The Band is always open to welcome anyone, young or old who have the wish to learn to be a piper or drummer. Full tuition is given free at both Falmouth or Plymouth and we have a very strong social and family involvement within our organisation
